Toward the end of December, Bitcoin was up 69% for the year - which is impressive, but not nearly as high as the rise of other trendy investments like Ether (up over 400%) and GameStop (up over 700%).Ĭrypto experts have always speculated where Bitcoin's price will go next, and some say that $100,000 could happen sooner rather than later. It then ended 2021 at around $47,000 per coin. Bitcoin lost 50% of its value between April and July of 2021, before surging to an all-time high of above $68,000 in November. The price of the original and most popular cryptocurrency yo-yos at a dizzying pace, and all cryptos continue to be risky and highly speculative investments. Hypothetically, Pandl added, if Bitcoin's share of that market were to rise to 50% over the next five years, its price would rise to just over $100,000. The "store of value" here refers to how much the investors own of gold for investment purposes plus how much investors own of Bitcoin. They are considered extremely risky for investment.Bitcoin's price continues to prove impossible to forecast - but a rise to $100,000 per coin is becoming a very popular prediction.Īs digital assets become more widely popular, the original and most popular cryptocurrency will take market share from gold, Goldman Sachs analyst Zach Pandl wrote in a research note to clients on Tuesday.īitcoin currently has a roughly 20% share of the "store of value" market, Pandl wrote. (Cryptos and other virtual digital assets are unregulated in India. Prices of alternative coins (altcoins) have increased in the last 24 hours, with assets like Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, BNB, Polkadot, Avalanche witnessing up to 12 percent jump.Ĭardano(ADA) alone surged close to 10 percent as Iagon launched its Ethereum-Cardano bridge for the second largest stablecoin, USDC. and global stocks rebounded and closed the week by registering their first weekly gain since late March, the same wasn’t seen in the crypto markets,” Darshan Bathija, CEO and Co-Founder of Vauld told FE Online. However, this claim fell flat last week when the US and global stock markets rebounded while cryptos continued to crash. In simple words, they have been claiming it is natural for crypto prices to fall in a falling stock market environment. Several crypto experts have been quoting a so-called correlation between stock market returns and Bitcoin as the reason behind the current fall in the price of the top crypto asset. Edul Patel, CEO and Co-Founder, Mudrex, said. This growth could keep the buyers active in the market. BTC may rise above its initial resistance at US$33,000 if buyers extend their support. “BTC continues to stay consolidated, but the largest crypto may take some time to reach its strength level. However, it may reach above $30,000 if buyers extend support. The market sentiment for Bitcoin and crypto, however, continues to remain in the “extreme fear” zone,” they said.Įxperts say that the top crypto asset may take some more time to reach its strength. “The daily RSI for Bitcoin has cropped up over the 40 level for the first time since the start of May 2022. Since I’m not sure you got around to checking the later comments to your last post, I’m copying to this one. I am endorsing him and telling you this will help the world get away from obfuscated, cheap-ass and unregulated cloud storage, and back to you being in control of your shit without your shit taking control of you. This is a fantastic bargain.Īs I write this, he has $13,000 and 11 days to get to his goal. He’ll be going through the list and coding up greater platform access, improving GIT ANNEX ASSISTANT to be even easier, and a whole host of related projects. I went over this whole project and his lifestyle with him, and $20k gets him full-time on this project for a full year. It allows you to declare data in such a way that a bunch of you can share file repositories, not unlike Dropbox or an FTP site, so that everyone gets access to the data, changes are tracked, and so on. Fuck the Cloud before it Fucks you! GIT ANNEX ASSISTANT will be tracking things for you, asking you to plug in drives when needed, and retrieving your data. Joey Hess has done an amazing job explaining this utility.īut GIT ANNEX ASSISTANT will allow you to use all this cloud technology for what it promises, instead of what it delivers.ĭid the dude who wrote Fuck The Cloud just endorse cloud storage?īecause GIT ANNEX (and therefore GIT ANNEX ASSISTANT) makes it so that you can make sure your data is on a bunch of clouds, and local storage too, meaning that you don’t have to trust any of those fuckers, including yourself. If you’re stuck back on the “woah, hold on, what exactly is GIT ANNEX there, bucko” phase, then feel free to browse around the GIT ANNEX site. It will enable you to tell this graphic interface to “just do it”, and ignore all the amazing stuff underneath that’s making sure stuff works for you. GIT ANNEX ASSISTANT, built on top of these rock solid building blocks that already exist and which are in use around the world, will bridge that last final and critical gap from programmer-nerd-wonkery to next-generation-data-availability for the end user. This is where we get to GIT ANNEX ASSISTANT. What excites me about GIT ANNEX is how it fundamentally tracks the backup and availability of any data you own, and allows you to share data with a large or small audience, ensuring that the data survives. I don’t use GIT at the moment for any of my projects (although plenty of Archive Team members do, and I and many others benefit from its use). Well, GIT ANNEX does this very thing – instead of the repository having to keep a copy of, say, every file in all your hard drives, you can instead use GIT ANNEX to say “just keep track of the description of these files” and that’s all it’ll do. But you really don’t want some poor GIT respository to hold every single point of data being tracked – not when you’re using, say, GITHUB or another public repository unwilling to deal with that level of stuff and preferring to stick to the “keeping track of how it is being handled” job. And with that comes the power of tracking changes, of sharing updates, and of undoing silly things done by others or by yourself. And that any data can be photos, videos, music, CD-ROM images, you name it. But, and we’re making a jump here – GIT isn’t really just for coders and developers. This is fine when we’re talking about a few dozen or hundred of megabytes of code. Normally, with GIT, you need to “check in” everything you’re coding into a GIT Repository. But you’re not a programmer, or you work alone and don’t need this. They love it enough that a site that does nothing but make git respositories public, called GITHUB, is a hugely popular site. GIT is, at its heart, a version control system, allowing multiple people or entities to work with code and ensure nobody steps on anybody, changes can be reversed, and that progression, rather than mistakes and screaming, are the order of the day. To understand the power of the GIT ANNEX ASSISTANT, you need to understand neither. To understand the power of GIT ANNEX, you need to understand GIT. At this moment, there’s about 11 days left to get in on it. Today’s suggested project is GIT-ANNEX ASSISTANT, by Joey Hess. I’m not as likely to write these for just any project I like – if you want to check THAT sort of thing out, it’s probably a better idea to just follow me on Kickstarter and see what I’m up to. Over the course of this year I will occasionally push you to kickstarter projects related to things I think are important to Archive Team‘s goals and mission. I can just imagine the possibilities as it matures and gets done. UPDATE: This kickstarter hit $20,000, meaning Joey will be working on this new project for a whole year. ''There were always such times,'' he said, ''when the authorities treated their people with unjustified cruelty and when their actions could not be deemed fair.'' He admitted that he might be making a mistake, asking critics to accept the new symbols, including the Soviet ones, and not view them as ''the embodiment of the darker sides of our history.'' Putin argued in a televised address to the country last Monday night, when he unveiled his proposal after months of public debate, that Russians had lived through low moments and repression in both eras, from the slavery of serfdom under the czars to Stalin's death camps. Before that, ''The Internationale'' had served as the Soviet anthem. It was played on state radio for the first time on Jan. Putin as its leader, even sought to prove this week that the Soviet anthem was not really that Soviet because its refrain and other shards of its score were borrowed from 19th-century composers by Aleksandr Aleksandrov, who wrote the piece for Stalin. The symmetry of his proposal, taking two symbols from czarist Russia and two Soviet symbols appeared to form the basis for a compromise in the Duma that drew overwhleming support. Putin shocked many liberals and intellectuals with his decision, many also supported him. ''All I associate with that anthem are party congresses, party conferences, where the power of party bureaucrats was strengthened and confirmed.'' as the national anthem,'' he said in an interview with the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda. ''I am categorically against the return of the anthem of the U.S.S.R. Yeltsin, who had banished the Soviet anthem and the red-flag trappings of the Soviet state in 1991, said he was disappointed in his successor and believed he had made a mistake. I will repeat what has already been said here over and over, "Legacy" dungeons are great and feel like classic DS. So I just go to the locations I want to see, probably everything with shardbearers in it, and finish them.ĭone Stormveil Castle and Raya Lucaria, started the Capitol, and the fatigue is real. I have a lot of fun with the game but almost none of it is related to the open world which only served, imho, to show where the shortcomings are in froms way to design games. The Game is so big with so many little things that not using a wiki for whatever you want and looking where its at is just wasting your time because every location that doesnt have what you need has nothign else of value. I have no reason to check the dungeons because I dont really need loot becaus ethere probably is nothing thats really more useful than what I already have and the way they structure there quests means I probably wont find an npc there in most cases and have no story related reason to got here either. I am interested in story and lore but I wont search for it like a maniac and get burned out just to find almost nothing and then have to listen to spergs how thats the best storytelling since cave paintings. I remember having read somewhere some NPC I dont know whill show up there as part of her "questline" if you do x y and z. I was in some windmill villages with crazy people which I killed, got up because I was interested what was there, found another crazy one killed it to and that was that. Not in ER, I go down in a dungeon find a miniboss and some loot that is probably absolutely useless for me like 90% of the talisman or whatever Items I have in my inventory. Maybe I find some udnerground passage wonder whats down there go down find awesome loot, save some slaves that are held there, help them get back, they show me the way to their village I go there learn more get more quests and so on. Normally in a game this big I could meet npcs they communicate clearly what they want from me, I would call that a quest then I would move to a dungeon do shit soak in atmosphere and story, get rewarded and do the next one, and I could do this over and over if I like the story and the world. For me again it works in the other games since they arent as big so I will stumble on most stuff meet most npcs and even if not I could treat them as more arcadey meaning I dont really need a story if I stust smash my way from a to b and kill everything that moves. Theres also the story which is still told in "froms signature way" which everyone would call lazy storytelling if it wasnt from doing it. This wasnt as much a problem in the other games since they arent as large and exploration mostly means look for secrets in cool dungeons. What would now compell me to check these caves and all that other shit? I already have weapon x which I like which does a fuckton of damage and is upgraded. Now we also have a large open world where you dont stumble upon potential ooler weapons like in the other games but you have to look for them (and burn out in the process because you check every fucking cave). Of course you have some special weapons which are probably a lot stronger than the normal ones so assume you have one of those there are probably enough accessible early to midgame. Now we have ER where its more or less the same, get weapon finish game with it. Of course there are people which absolutely have to beat the game with weapon X because it looks so cool and I always saw these kidns as a bit retarded but if its fun for them why not. Theres no real reason to switch because it would mean to farm upgrade stuff again for no real reason since your weapon works just fine and theres not really an upgrade thats vastly better (I am probably wrong ont he details but I think in general thats the case). In Souls games, those I played, thats not really the case, you get a weapon you like you upgrade it and then you wreck everything until the end. Normally in an rpg you start weak you get xp and level your character and you also stumble over better equipment, either its stronger +x or its situational stronger, lets say a flaming sword which you keep for everytime theres some enemies weak to fire. Something I never really understood about any of the games is their item system. I finished Volcano manor last night and got my third rune. I get why especially if you run aroound the map and check everything. So while I cant play as mucha s others I have enough time to follow the thread and by now a lot of people are burned out.
